Warren and Tricia Apel
[email protected]

I want to improve student learning through the well-managed and purposeful integration of technology. I would like to accomplish this through an administrative or faculty-level position working with teachers and students.

With my help, teachers will be able to use technology tools to enhance their teaching; and students will use 21st Century skills to improve their learning.

I would like to join a Middle School mathematics team that shares my philosophy. I believe that the Middle School transition from elementary to higher-level mathematics is the perfect time to instill a lifelong love of math and learning in naturally curious minds. I use a blend of cooperative learning, technology-enhanced projects, hands-on manipulation, concrete skill acquisition, and mathematical communication; with a focus on higher-level thinking skills and real-world applications.

Mrs. Apel is truly one of the finest educators I have ever supervised, and I have supervised hundreds of teachers during my career. . . She is an excellent teacher and has positive interpersonal skills with staff, students, and parents. Her students’ achievement levels were always top notch.

Patricia Weegar, Executive Director of Instructional Services, Kyrene School District, Arizona

Warren supports the integration of technology into all curricular areas and advises and assists teachers from differing disciplines and grade levels in methods of using technology effectively. . . Warren leads his students in a voyage of exploration; even those with an aversion to technology find his manner helpful and gain an appreciation of the subject.

Peter Coyle, Director of Technology, Cairo American College

Were I privileged to found a school somewhere from the ground up, one of the very first phone calls I would make would be to Tricia and Warren Apel. . . I would hire them on the strength of their unique gifts to children and their teaching peers. . . (Tricia) is one of the most gifted teachers I have ever worked with. I look to her as the philosophical core of our Math program.

Cabby Tennis, Middle School Principal, Cairo American College

Tricia is a progressive, organized, kid-friendly, leader at our school and one of our top teachers. We will miss her greatly for all the amazing contributions she has made to our school. Tricia is a don’t miss teacher. I would hire her again in a heartbeat.

Beth Coyle, Middle School Assistant Principal, American Embassy School, New Delhi, India

Without hesitation, I can say that there is no finer science and math educator anywhere and very few her equal. Tricia is that quality of professional that principals and peers look to for leadership.

Frankly, I believe that Warren and his wife Tricia are the best couple recruiting. No school will be the same after hiring Warren. His ability to inspire people and nurture the growth of technology is extraordinary.

Bob Hetzel, Director, American Embassy School, New Delhi, India
