My academic background is
strongly rooted in sound educational practices and extremely
well-rounded. It is with great eagerness and anticipation
that I await my upcoming graduation from St. John’s
University, with an advanced certificate in school
administration, enabling me to serve as both a School
Building Leader and/or School District Leader. I have earned
a Master’s Degree in School Counseling from Long Island
University, and completed my undergraduate studies in Family
and Consumer Science Education at the State University of
New York College at Oneonta.
My administrative internships
have been extremely varied and diverse, thus allowing me to
work confidently in a wide-array of academic settings. I am
familiar with curriculum design and development,
standardized testing, school safety, teacher mentoring,
student discipline, and budget allocation. My experience as
a Home and Careers teacher in the Connetquot School District
has helped to further deepen my understanding of best
teaching practices and trends in education.
As a building level
administrator, I hope to develop a school culture and
educational program that is conducive to student learning
and socialization. I seek to promote staff professional
growth and development, and encourage innovative lesson
design. I wish to foster an academic environment that
supports teamwork and inter-disciplinary planning.
My in-depth education, coupled
with my work experience and internship opportunities, has
prepared me to function especially well as an administrator.
I would happy to meet for an interview so we may further
discuss my qualifications as an instructional leader.
